About MADE IN NIGERIA TEXTILES (MiNT)
The Made in Nigeria Textiles (MiNT) Nigeria Ltd is established to promote Nigeria’s rich heritage in her diverse art and culture which is conspicuous in her Textiles. MiNT is dedicated in exhibiting Nigeria’s Textiles which in themselves embody culture, commerce, and identity around the world starting in Nigeria and the USA. The Made in Nigeria Textiles, Nigeria Ltd (MiNT) aims to be in the frontline in making Nigeria Textile industry an engine for job creation, supporting exports, and contributing in driving revenue to boost the creative economy while incorporating Nigerian Textiles in design concepts in the global space.
MiNT as an advocate for Nigeria culture, and more specifically the label “Made in Nigeria Textile”, which works to enhance Nigerian brands through the development of products and services, will work to strengthen the link between individual textile print manufacturers and the community, promoting value to textile prints and recognition to the people in these communities who have maintained the richness of our diverse textile culture.
MiNT Nigeria Ltd will provide education and business development support services to fashion houses especially upcoming made in Nigeria textile fashion houses and Nigeria Diaspora populations in the Nigerian Textile and Fashion industries. MiNT services aims assist small businesses in reaching national and international consumer and industry markets, improving the knowledge base and capability of industry workers, and training those in targeted manufacturing and production communities for entrepreneurship and employment opportunities.
MiNT also aims to serve the needs of consumers of textile and fashion products by facilitating access to designers, textile creators and culture creative. This will further serve the production and the consumer communities through a framework of currently available and future communications technology and software tools.
MiNT will work to organize made in Nigeria Textile Festivals, Exhibitions, Seminars, Trainings and Workshops to facilitate a blending between science and Made in Nigerian textiles, while partnering the global communities in creating awareness, sensitization to establish Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Commission on Textiles which will contribute to reducing environmental pollution, saving lives and preserving the health of our planet’s climate.
